Another league title

It’s too much to expect Real Madrid to win the Champions League next season, because there is still work to be done on that front. Until they sign Kylian Mbappe or a nearly equivalent superstar in the attack, it is unrealistic to expect another Champions League title, even under Zinedine Zidane. Real are capable of winning this competition, but it is unfair to make that an expectation.

However, it is more than reasonable to expect Real Madrid to improve in 2020-2021 and win the league title again. Barcelona are reeling and are clearly not on the same level as Real, as they are essentially being carried by Lionel Messi. Their incompetent board is not on Real’s level, and neither are any of the coaches they’ve been hiring when compared to Zidane.

Real Madrid must win the league again. At this point, this is a clear expectation for them, as second place will not satisfy anyone in the club, especially after Real managed to win the title in 2019-2020 despite not having an ideal squad in place. And after this summer, it is unlikely any of their competitors, whether Barcelona or even Atletico Madrid, will get substantially better either.

Los Blancos are the best team in Spain right now, and that is a statement that cannot change at this point in time in 2021.
