Real Madrid won’t be able to make major transfers this summer, but they could sign one inexpensive player.

The summer 2020 transfer window will be all about making sales and saving up for the future, because Real Madrid are eyeing some ambitious moves in the coming years. Three of the world’s best young players – Kylian Mbappe, Eduardo Camavinga, and Erling Haaland – are on Los Blancos’ radar in the coming seasons.

If Real want to be able to afford those players, they will need to start saving up now during a difficult financial year in football due to COVID-19. That means Real cannot make any major signings in the summer 2020 transfer window, so the likes of Camavinga and (even moreso) Kai Havertz are out of the question.

But Real Madrid could still need depth, which is why it’s possible Los Blancos will make one minor signing to help Zinedine Zidane fill out his squad for another run at the La Liga title in 2020-2021. Real are the best team in Spain, but they shouldn’t be satisfied with that, of course.

Here are three possible buy-low transfer targets for Real Madrid this year. There aren’t many options for the club right now, but these three players could make a difference, especially in the long run.
