Real Madrid really want Brahim Diaz to take a loan opportunity next season, and he could end up in the Europa League.

Martin Odegaard is fully expected to continue with Real Sociedad, and Takefusa Kubo is on his way to Villarreal. So Real Madrid will have at least two talented young attacking players out on loan to La Liga clubs set for the Europa League in 2020-2021.

According to a report from MARCA’s Jorge Azcoytia, Brahim Diaz could be a third player on the Whites to get a Europa League shot in 2020-2021.

Granada are reportedly interested in extending Jesus Vallejo’s loan, but they also would like to sign Brahim on loan for next season. La Liga’s seventh-placed club in 2019-2020, Granada had heavy interest in Kubo, but they ultimately lost out on the competitive loan bid, largely due to Unai Emery’s appointment at Villarreal.

Signing Brahim Diaz won’t be easy either. Real Betis have shown considerable interest in Brahim and appear to be close to getting a deal done. What helps Los Verdiblancos is the relationship between Brahim and their new, accomplished La Liga manager, Manuel Pellegrini.

But while Granada don’t have Pellegrini or the attacking midfield talent that Betis do in Nabil Fekir and Sergio Canales, they have the Europa League possibility in their corner after finishing seventh. That could prove to be a decisive part of the argument as Granada look to pursue Brahim’s signature.

Everyone at Real Madrid, from the fans to the decision-makers within the club, wants Brahim to succeed. And that’s why they want him to go on loan. He’s been at Real for two years without a loan deal, meaning the 21-year-old has lost out on potentially thousands of minutes that would have boosted his development.

Brahim has the tools to be one of the best attacking players in Spanish football, hence why Real Madrid purchased him for nearly 20 million euros from Manchester City. Either Betis or Granada would be a good opportunity for him.
