Attack: Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio

The entire burden of carrying Real Madrid’s offense fell on the shoulders of Karim Benzema for the second successive season, and he didn’t succumb. He has scored 26 goals in all competitions so far, 21 of those coming in the league.

Eden Hazard’s debut season was plagued by injuries. Hazard himself admitted that his first season in Madrid was the worst season of his career. He wasn’t wrong. Hazard missed more than half the games for Real Madrid and one can imagine the outcome of La Liga had he remained fit for games where Real failed to summon any sort of magic in the final third.

Hazard is determined to turn things around and start afresh come September. A fully fit Hazard is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, not to forget that he was one of the best players in La Liga before Thomas Meunier injured him in November.

Next. Three players who could surprise fans next season. dark

Marco Asensio is another player who was an unfortunate victim of an injury. He was forced to miss eleven months of action and but came back and was able to chip in with goals and assists after the resumption of the league.

Zidane is a fan of Asensio. There are no qualms about Asensio being handed over the reigns of the right wing for the 2020-21 season.
