The past decade was filled with enormous success for Real Madrid, and a lot of players formed the core of the team, leading the team to a lot of silverware.

Real Madrid have always had a knack of having great players don the royal white jersey, which has almost always translated into success for the team over the years.

Right from the Yé-yé era, to the Quinta del Buitre era, to the Galácticos era, Los Blancos have always had world-beaters in their squad that were simply unstoppable on their day.

2010 was a year that not only marked the start of a new decade but also was a year where Guti and Raúl left the club, and the ship was left to be steered by a young crop. The 2010s saw Real Madrid lift two LaLiga titles, four Champions Leagues, and two Copa del Reys as major titles.

All the players in this list have been mainstays of the best Real Madrid team in recent years – the brilliant team of the 2016-17 season.

Choosing the most valuable players in the past decade was a tough decision, as I had to leave out players like Raphaël Varane, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, and Casemiro – players that form the core of the current squad and have been among the best players for a better part of the last ten years.

Here are the five most valuable players for Real Madrid from the past decade.
