Real Madrid LW Cristiano Ronaldo

The name in itself speaks volumes about his time at Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player on this list who is not a Real Madrid player at the moment. Signed in 2009 for a then-world record of €94 million, Cristiano Ronaldo broke every single goalscoring record associated with a Real Madrid player.

His outstanding leadership translated to inspirational performances on the pitch, as it required him a snap of a second to turn the match on its head. One of the biggest highlights of his Real Madrid career will be helping the team break the domestic supremacy of Barcelona. He is the second-highest goalscorer in El Clasico history behind Lionel Messi, and has scored a lot of goals in front of the Camp Nou. He was responsible for silencing the chaotic Camp Nou crowd during Clasicos.

He finished top scorer for Real Madrid in each of the nine seasons that he played in, scoring 451 goals in 438 appearances and becoming the highest goalscorer in Real Madrid history. A large part of the credit for winning four Champions League in five years goes down to this man, whose exploits in Europe’s premier club competition helped Real Madrid to European ascendancy. His presence struck fear in the opponents.

Cristiano was never meant to leave Real Madrid. He did so, though, and he left on a high. But his contributions to this club can never be forgotten.

In my opinion, he is the most valuable Real Madrid player from the last decade, and undoubtedly the greatest player to ever grace the Santiago Bernabéu.
