Real Madrid have players who are on the “keep” and “sell” lists, but there are also a few players who lie somewhere in between.

The summer 2020 transfer window won’t be an active one for Real Madrid in terms of purchases, but they are busy trying to facilitate sales and loan deals.

Brahim Diaz and Takefusa Kubo have already been loaned to teams where they will start, while Oscar Rodriguez and James Rodriguez are high-profile sales that have either been finalized or are heavily rumored.

Gareth Bale is another name on the chopping block after his atrocious 2019-2020 season, as he and James were always destined to leave this summer due to their wages.

But there are a handful of players who could return to Real Madrid, exit on loan, or even be sold. Their futures are less clear. Here are these four players.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich RB Alvaro Odriozola

The only right back in the squad after Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola won the treble with Bayern Munich as a loanee. He didn’t contribute much to Die Roten, though he did flash his talent on the attacking end by assisting for Robert Lewandowski in the second leg Round of 16 victory over Chelsea.

Odriozola could be loaned out in 2020-2021 in order for him to gain playing time at a less competitive club than Bayern. Loaning him within La Liga, perhaps to Real Sociedad, would be preferred.

But Real Madrid also need Odriozola. Contrary to what the Mallorca game showed, Odriozola is a good player. He has great pace, can assist for others, and has real potential once he gets experience as a defender.
