Real Madrid loanee Takefusa Kubo scored a sensational backheel in training

Real Madrid attacking midfielder Takefusa Kubo is poised to have a huge season for Villarreal in 2020-2021.

Last season, Real Madrid loanee Takefusa Kubo showed why he is one of the biggest future stars in La Liga. He didn’t begin the season as a regular starter at Mallorca, which frustrated fans. But by the end of the season, he was the relegated side’s best player. The 19-year-old finished his rookie season with four goals and four assists, showing that he was ready for the next step.

Kubo’s next step in Spain’s top flight will be at Villarreal. He joined Unai Emery’s side on loan this summer as a priority addition to the squad for the new manager. The Japanese international could have a 2020-2021 season similar to Martin Odegaard’s incredible 2019-2020 campaign at Real Sociedad, as Emery could build the attack around his talents.

During a recent training session, Kubo showed off those prodigious talents by scoring an absolutely sublime backheel goal from a first-time cross while on the run.

Takefusa Kubo is one of Real Madrid’s top prospects

Kubo has shown off his skills in training on multiple occasions during loan spells in La Liga, and this goal certainly won’t be the last delightful piece of skill he shows off to both his current club and to the Madridistas waiting for his future arrival.

Real Madrid know they have a future superstar in Kubo, who is one of the most skillful young players in the world. It takes serious ability and genius to be able to pull off that kind of a backheel goal, even in training.
