Zinedine Zidane decided to shift all his focus on the defensive aspect of games to compromise for lack of goals up front, and it was rewarded with the Merengues keeping the best defensive record in the modern era.

For the moment, the Frenchman seems to have put out the fires that had once ignited in the Royal Capital of Spain. But even for his reputed standards, he knows, if he doesn’t get his attack ticking again, the knives will be out gradually.

Zidane might have surpassed all expectations in his first season coming back, but still, there are a lot of questions that need to be addressed and a lot of problems that need to be solved.
