Real Madrid will send Brahim Diaz to Milan on a one-year loan deal, and everything is set for the forward to have a big season.
Los Blancos have urged Brahim Diaz to leave the club on a loan deal for the past two transfer windows, and after playing a meager 65 La Liga minutes for Real Madrid in 2019-2020, the 21-year-old has finally agreed to leave for a year.
Brahim will play first-team football for AC Milan in 2020-2021, as Real have reportedly agreed to a deal with the Rossoneri.
Although Brahim barely played for Los Blancos last season, he flashed his potential. The young forward put in a great deal of work whenever he was on the pitch, and he even scored a good solo goal in the Copa del Rey.
At Milan, Brahim will play with former Real Madrid left back Theo Hernandez, star midfielder Ismael Bennacer, playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and, likely, young forward Ante Rebic.
Brahim will have a good supporting cast at Milan
That’s a quality supporting cast for Brahim to work with. The Spanish forward can play on either the left or right side, and he can even play as a false nine. That means Brahim can potentially excel for Milan in any part of the front three, so the Rossoneri have every reason to get him on the pitch.
Plenty of La Liga teams were interested in Brahim, but, ultimately, Real Madrid allowed him to go to Serie A. Milan aren’t one of the best clubs in the world right now, but they are on the ascendancy and may be a step away from returning to Champions League football. It will take work from them, but Brahim is a big addition.
Brahim is an exciting player with technical quality, pace, and an eye for goal. He’s particularly adept at scoring from just around the edge of the box and can create his own goal-scoring opportunities.
Although he’s scored just one goal in a top-five league, Brahim has all the tools to post a breakout 2020-2021 season in his first year as a regular player. Milan should start this exciting young player and if they don’t, the hard-working Brahim will surely force his way into the starting XI.
He’s that good. Madridistas know exactly the talent he possesses, and the club has been itching to see him on the pitch. That’s why they wanted him to go out on loan so badly; they want him to get this experience and show what he’s got.
Surely, Brahim will do exactly that at Milan next season. Last year, the Rossoneri had two players with double-digit goals. Rebic scored 11 and Ibrahimovic scored 10. If Brahim can get at least 1,500 quality minutes in Serie A, he should be able to match that scoring output. All the ingredients are there for Brahim to blow people away in Italy’s top flight.
