Real Madrid fans have always known that Brahim Diaz is an exciting young player with a world of potential, and now Milan fans are quickly realizing this.

Brahim Diaz has been urged to go on a loan assignment for the past year, but he resisted leaving Real Madrid. The 21-year-old wanted to prove himself to Zinedine Zidane and the club as a regular part of the rotation, but he found it impossible to last season amidst Rodrygo Goes’ breakout as a new signing.

Now, Brahim will play first-team football for AC Milan on loan in the 2020-2021 season, linking up with players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ante Rebic in the Rossoneri’s suddenly-exciting attack. Brahim has serious breakout potential on this loan assignment, and he’s already showing it.

Milan recently defeated Monza 4-1 in a friendly match, and while Brahim didn’t score, he provided a great highlight that was shared by the team’s social account.

Brahim’s two-footed ability and technical qualities have already been praised by the club’s manager Stefano Pioli, but Milan fans got a chance to see Brahim’s dribbling ability on display in this friendly.

The key for Brahim Diaz’s development at Milan

He absolutely bamboozled the defenders, cutting one way and then the other, but unfortunately his lobbed left-footed cross was too close to the keeper and ultimately not the right option.

For Brahim, the key at Milan will be the passing and decision-making in the final third, understanding how to play in a new league and how to become a focal point in the attack by doing more than just scoring goals or dribbling.

But Brahim’s raw talent is impossible to ignore and even more difficult to avoid praising. He used his eye for goal and dribbling on the ball to score a great solo goal in the Copa del Rey earlier this year, and he’ll almost certainly do that a few more times for the Rossoneri by the end of the 2020-2021 season.
