Real Madrid will win the Copa del Rey

The recent history of the club in domestic competitions remains inconsistent, with only three league titles and two domestic cup triumphs in the last decade. The fans of the biggest club in the world demand everything, every year.

It has been six years since a successful Copa Del Rey campaign for Los Blancos, leaving fans disappointed year after year in the final stages of the cup. Fans are hungry for every piece of silverware at the Bernabéu and they definitely miss celebrating the king’s cup.

The club’s approach to the cup recently has been a complete dependency on the young side of the squad and giving minutes to players that are often seen on the bench. With the majority of A-team players rested, while the B-team is being experimented on. Things haven’t changed much since the Merengues won their last Copa Del Rey final in 2014.

However, after this transfer window Real will be having a more balanced squad than last year, with lesser players on the squad list and only quality players in all positions. Fewer players mean less rotation than before, resulting in a more balanced and experienced lineup and still managing to give minutes to young prospects and rest frequent starters. With a better and more balanced team compared to the previous seasons, Real Madrid might capitalize on its domestic triumphs this season.
