Real Madrid won’t win the Champions League

Los Blancos lacking in the number of goals and firepower in the final third is the sole reason for the club’s latest defeat in the knockout stages of the Champions League. With only one regular starter in the Madrid attack; Karim Benzema, Real failed to outscore Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. In their previous European triumphs, the Spanish giants were often seen taking top European teams by the neck and scoring goals to maintain a reasonable margin in the aggregate.

Major signings like Eden Hazard on the sidelines for the majority of the last season along with striker Luka Jović who was unable to find his feet as well, it was a narrow escape for Madrid last season winning the La Liga title.

Both Hazard and Jović are expected to return to their usual confident selves, which will lead to an increase in the number of goals, but with both the signings failing to impress in their first season and hardly getting any minutes, it is only reasonable to believe that the fans are not expecting a miracle but a steady walk back to where Hazard and Jović actually belong.
