Real Madrid is filled with an enormous number of young talents in their squad, but which players will be most important in the long-term?
Real Madrid is a huge brand in the footballing world. They have the best players, managers, working staff, scouting members, and fans. The fans are demanding; they want to see their beloved club winning and signing new players every season. The club has worked a lot in building the future with signing great players in past.
Real Madrid has evolved in their process of getting new players. Earlier in the Galactico’s era, the club used to make expensive signing, and they believed in bringing star players in Madrid as it used to be profitable for the club in many manners. Now the club has invested in their academy and mostly signed young talents from Europe and South America.
The club has made some great signing in recent years. The Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, Uruguayan midfielder Fede Valverde, the Japanese youngster Takefusa Kubo, Brazilian defender Eder MIlitao, and French left-back Ferland Mendy. Most of them already had a great spell here in Madrid, and others are loaned out for playing time and experience. The Norwegian international Martin Ødegaard is back with the club for the upcoming season after successful loan spells.
These young guns fought for their position in the starting XI, and some of them have already surpassed their senior teammates to start in 2019-2020. Ferland Mendy played ahead of Marcelo, Vinicius Junior played on the left-wing as Eden Hazard was injured for half of the season, and Fede Valverde made the starting XI in place of Croatian Luka Modric.
Real Madrid’s future is quite unpredictable. The players coming in or moving out of the Spanish capital is not yet decided, and there are big names are linked with Madrid. Some of them are Eduardo Camavinga, Matthijs de Ligt, and Kylian Mbappe. It would be an immense joy to see these stars in royal white, but bringing all of them is a huge task for President Florentino Pérez.
The Real Madrid academy is strong now. They have won the UEFA Youth League 2019-20 under the management of Real Madrid legend Raúl. The club’s president can’t ignore the academy, and the club must think about this whether to bring new players from European clubs or have patience and let the academy players shine. Looking at the current situation of the club and players, here I’ll name five players who will be the future of the club and carve their name in Real Madrid’s history.
