On Sunday, Los Blancos will face a worthy test in Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium. The Royal Whites defeated La Real in both league encounters last season, though they were eliminated by Sociedad in the Copa del Rey.

Here are five players who must play at a high level in order for Real to pick up the win.

Real Madrid LW Vinicius Junior

Eden Hazard will not be able to play against Real Sociedad, as the Belgian star is still recovering from those pesky ankle injuries from the 2019-2020 season. Vinicius Junior will almost certainly start in his place, and the Brazilian forward is more than capable of being the Man of the Match on Sunday in San Sebastian.

One of the hardest-working wide forwards in European football, Vinicius is a prolific dribbler who loves creating chances for his teammates. In his second season with Real Madrid, Vini flashed goal-scoring ability, putting the ball in the back of the net in El Clasico and also scoring one of the goals of the season with his chip against Mallorca.

A goal or an assist could be on the horizon for Vinicus. who will be out to prove that he deserves to be a full-time starter over Hazard.
