Real Madrid will face Real Sociedad on Sunday night at the Anoeta Stadium. Here are three bold predictions for Matchday 2.

Real Sociedad already began their 2020-2021 La Liga campaign last weekend with a 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid, but this Sunday’s match will be the season opener for reigning champions Real Madrid.

Here are three bold predictions for Los Blancos as they take on La Real on the road at the Anoeta Stadium at 21:00 CET.

1. Vinicius Junior will score for Real Madrid

Real Madrid left winger Vinicius Junior will almost certainly draw the start, as Eden Hazard is still recovering from an injury. The 20-year-old forward is coming off a strong second season at the Santiago Bernabeu, but his third season with Los Blancos will be all about proving he should be a regular starter for the club.

Vinicius scored a couple of great goals in 2019-2020, including a curler against Osasuna and a brilliant chipped effort this summer vs. Mallorca. Look for him to find the back of the net again this Sunday, as Vini’s main task in 2020-2021 will be proving that he’s a lot more than just a guy who starts attacks and carries the ball into the opposing final third. Vinicius is out to prove that he can finish off moves himself by scoring regularly.
