6) Alexander Isak, Real Sociedad

Swedish forward Alexander Isak started his career in La Liga last year in summer 2019, where he completed his move from Dortmund. He made a total of 38 appearances for the Basque side in all competitions, scoring 9 goals. He has good potential to succeed here in the Basque nation with the abilities he carries with him.

Isak will avail the Basque side upfront with the pace he has and he will help his team by amassing goals and assists. He will be hoping to improve his numbers from last season. It would be fascinating to see how well he grows under Imanol Alguacil.

7) Marc Cucurella, Getafe CF

Marc Cucurella from Catalonia completed his permanent move to Getafe in March 2020 after playing one season on loan with them. Under José Bordalás, Getafe play a high-pressing football game. Cucurella is helping his team in midfield and in defense as well. He mostly plays on the left-back position, attacking the left flank rather than at the backline (functioning like a wing-back).

With his pace and attacking mentality, he will grow in the Spanish league, as it demands a unique style of playing. José Bordalás is one of the best managers in this league. He can give a tough time to the La Liga heavyweights with his tactical acumen, and Cucurella must be buckling his shoes for his 2nd season with Getafe.

8) Unai Simon, Athletic Club Bilbao

Unai Simon is one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Spanish football, he is young and has already made his mark in the Spanish league. Unai completed an astonishing season last year, completing 33 league games finishing in the 3rd position for the Zamora Trophy. He has grown rapidly in recent years and he is a sought-after custodian in the European Transfer market.

Unai Simon was called up for the Spain National football team for the first time. He had no minutes there but sooner or later, he will hopefully make his mark with La Roja. He will be one of the best up-and-coming goalkeepers to watch out for next season.

9) Lee Kang-In, Valencia CF

Lee Kang-In is a central attacking midfielder from South Korea who plays for the Spanish side Valencia CF. He was the youngest player to assist two goals in a La Liga match in the 21st century, in a 4–2 win over Levante. He has made 21 appearances for Valencia and gave a decent performance in that spell. This season, he will play a vital role in Javi Garcia’s side for next season.

Valencia is affected by the financial crisis this season. It forced them to let some great names leave the club like Dani Parejo and Rodrigo Moreno. Last season, Valencia finished 9th, which means no European football for them in 2020-21. This season, though, there is renewed hope, and young guns like Kang-In can bring some glory to this club.

10) Yangel Herrera, Granada CF

Yangel Herrera is a Venezuelan footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Spanish side Granada, on loan from English club Manchester City. He recently extended his loan spell in Granada and will be an important piece of Diego Martinez’s squad, helping the team out in the offensive and defensive phases.

Granada has some great talents – Jesús Vallejo, Alberto Soro, and Yangel Herrera. It would be interesting to watch how Diego Martinez will line up with these talents and how far he will take this side in the league that finished 7th in the league last season.
