Will Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio return for Real Madrid vs. Valladolid?

Eden Hazard is reportedly healthy and ready to return this week, but it remains to be seen if he will play against Real Valladolid or Levante and in what capacity. The international break will take place after Real face Levante on Sunday, so he could make his return then or as a substitute against Valladolid as a tune-up before Levante and the break.

Marco Asensio has, likewise, missed the first two games of the 2020-2021 La Liga season due to recovery from an injury.

Both players are extremely important to Los Blancos this season. Hazard, at his best, made Real look like a juggernaut last Fall, producing some masterclass performances in Spain’s top flight during the months of October and November after he settled in.

Meanwhile, Asensio was arguably more impressive, scoring with his very first touch when he returned against Valencia this summer. Asensio scored three goals during the post-break period, showing a goal-scoring threat on the right side that Los Blancos badly need.

The trio of Hazard, Asensio, and Karim Benzema could conceivably be Real’s best attack this season, and we could get a little taste of it this week before the international break. But of course, Madridistas would prefer the club exercise all due caution with both forwards.
