Real Madrid aim for all three points ahead of the international break.

After winning their game in midweek, Real Madrid will take the pitch once again on Sunday as they take on Levante before a two-week International Break. The team hasn’t been at their best recently but the scoring potential is there and it’s just a matter of time before they’re firing on all cylinders once again.

Goalkeeper:

In goal, Thibaut Courtois will get his usual call-up. The Belgian goalkeeper has been in sensational form since the season resumed and will want to build on his man-of-the-match performance that we witnessed in the 1-0 win against Real Valladolid.

Defenders:

With the club confirming that Dani Carvajal is injured with a predicted absence of approximately two months, Alvaro Odriozola will get a chance to start once again after being chosen during the last game. In the center, the solid partnership of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos makes it very difficult to give other players such as Eder Militao or Nacho Fernandez a chance. Ferland Mendy is expected to return as the left-back after being benched for Marcelo a few days ago.

Midfielders:

Even though Zidane has been adamant on playing with two strikers during the past couple matches, I think he’ll go back to his usual formation. This will see Carlos Casemiro start as our trusted (and only) defensive midfielder while Luka Modric will want to continue his red-hot form in the center of the pitch. A return for Martin Odegaard could be on the cards after he missed the previous match with the manager preferring to go with Isco on the night.

Are we preparing to see the return of the Brazilians for Real Madrid?

Forwards:

Can we see the return of our two beloved Brazilians? Vinicius Junior came on as a substitute against Real Valladolid and was able to score the only goal of the game. He deserves to start and we may see that happen after he spent both matches out of the starting eleven. On the right side, Rodrygo Goes may be the chosen one with Marco Asensio coming in during the second half. It could be a little early for Asensio to start a game right now. Karim Benzema will want to finally get his name on the score sheet after failing to score in any of the games so far and he may get the chance to do so when the team take on Levante on Sunday night.
