Real Madrid will face Levante on Matchday 5 in La Liga. Here are five players on Los Blancos to watch closely on Sunday afternoon.

This Sunday at the Estadio de la Ceramica, Real Madrid will face Levante in their fourth La Liga game of the 2020-2021 season and their third road game.

Los Blancos haven’t looked at their best to start the campaign, but they remain undefeated, only dropping points in a 0-0 opener at the Anoeta Stadium against Real Sociedad.

Here are five players to watch on Real Madrid as Zinedine Zidane’s club look to put on their most convincing display of the season at Levante.

Real Madrid RB Nacho Fernandez

Real Madrid must start Nacho Fernandez at right back, as both Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola are out with injuries. We learned of Carvajal’s two-month MCL injury yesterday, and on Saturday morning, it was announced that his backup would have to miss two to three weeks with an injury of his own.

Once again, Zinedine Zidane is without right backs, so he will have to turn to either Nacho Fernandez or Lucas Vazquez at the position before the international break. He cannot use Eder Militao as a right back or a center back in a back three, because the young Brazilian is dealing with his own injury.

Nacho played well last season in a few big games in September when Real Madrid were dealing with an injury crunch, so he should be able to get the job down against a bottom-half La Liga side in Levante.
