Real Madrid are always on the lookout for top-class wide forwards, and they may be monitoring a Spanish national team player closely this season.

Getting more goals from the left and right wings will be a priority for Real Madrid in the coming transfer windows. Kylian Mbappe is the clear top target, but Real aren’t restricted to him. They have also been linked to the likes of Raheem Sterling, Sadio Mane, and Jadon Sancho over the past year. And in 2019, they signed Eden Hazard for 100 million euros and Rodrygo Goes for 50 million to go with Vinicius Junior.

Hazard showed his class before his first ankle injury, and Vinicius and Rodrygo are players for whom Los Blancos should have high hopes. Marco Asensio is a capable goal-scorer from the right-hand side, as he showed this past summer post-injury.

Still, Real Madrid will be looking, and Wolves right winger Adama Traore, a former Barcelona product, seems to be on their radar.

Defensa Central reports that Adama Traore made an “impression” on the Real Madrid scouts who watched the Spanish national team’s friendly match on Wednesday against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal.

Adama Traore had an excellent 2019-2020 Premier League season

Both sides fought to a goalless draw, but Los Blancos were struck by Traore’s ability when he entered the pitch in the 62nd minute for Barcelona defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets.

Real’s scouts are always checking up on the national team, so it is no surprise that they were closely following this friendly match.

Traore is coming off a sensational breakout season in the Premier League with four goals, nine assists, and a jaw-dropping five dribbles completed per match, according to WhoScored.com. This season, he hasn’t scored or assisted yet in 250 minutes, but he’s still averaging a robust 5.5 dribbles completed per game.

He’s probably not at the top of the list for Real Madrid, but Traore is on the club’s radar. He is a highly impressive creator for Wolves. That’s not quite what Los Blancos need, but it’s always nice to hear about a hard-working, talented player striking an impression with Real’s staff.
