A mainstay on this list because of his importance, Karim Benzema scored 21 goals with eight assists for Real Madrid last season. Through four games this season, Benzema has just one goal and one assist, grabbing his first goal very late in the Levante game after frustratingly squandering more chances.

Despite the slow start, there is no need to panic about Benzema. Because, really, when has there ever been cause for concern about Benzema? The No. 9 is as steady as they come in his all-around contributions, and his dribbling and creativity have continued to cause headaches for opponents this season. Look at anything that wasn’t a shot against Real Betis.

Benzema should score again this Saturday vs. Cadiz, and he’ll be disappointed if he does not find the back of the net after getting off the mark last Sunday at Levante.

The Cadiz defense isn’t strong, though they do have a goalkeeper who has performed quite well to start the season in Jeremias Ledesma. He won’t be easy to beat if he keeps up his form, but Benzema has a bag of tricks and a few curled finishes to bamboozle even the sharpest of keepers.
