Forwards

Marco Asensio – 5.5/10

Asensio did better than his fellow attackers but still a lot less than what we know he is capable of doing. He had one thunderous shot from outside the box that forced Trubin into a save. He completed two dribbles

Luka Jovic – 4/10

Jovic got a rare start ahead of Karim Benzema, and it was a one to forget. He did not get involved much and failed to take an opportunity to score from a Marcelo cross with a missed header.

Rodrygo – 3/10

Rodrygo was ineffective in the 45 minutes he was on the pitch. He had only 23 touches. He got taken off at halftime.

Vinicius came in for Jovic in the 58th minute and made an immediate impact. He picked Marlos’s pocket and scored Real Madrid’s second goal giving them hope of a comeback. The Brazillian winger completed three dribbles and looked threatening in the final third.

Toni Kroos – 5/10

Toni Kroos replaced Modric in the 69th minute to provide fresh legs in search of the equalizer. He was not able to turn to tide in Real Madrid’s favor.
