Real Madrid completed a convincing 4-1 win at Stadio Alfredo De Stefano against Huesca with goals from Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, and Fede Valverde.

Real Madrid endured a laborious and dull first 40 minutes before completing a convincing 4-1 win against Huesca at home. Eden Hazard’s thunderous goal from 28 meters out helped open up the game for Los Blancos, and Karim Benzema doubled the lead right before half-time. The Merengues put in a dominating display in the second half to complete the 4-1 win with additional goals from Benzema and Valverde.

Zinedine Zidane rested some of his key players ahead of a must-win match against Inter Milan. Marcelo, Hazard, and Luka Modric started in place of Ferland Mendy, Vinicius Junior, and Toni Kroos.

Here is how the Real Madrid players performed.

Manager

Zinedine Zidane – 6/10

Zidane’s team struggled to create any relevant chances until Eden Hazard’s moment of brilliance. The first-half performance will be a concern for the Merengues manager.

His team’s cohesion and movement were much better in the second half as spaces opened up. Zidane was also able to give some of his key players some rest ahead of a vital Champions League match against Inter Milan.

Goalkeeper

Thibaut Courtois – 7/10

Courtois did not have much to do in the game. He made a couple of routine saves and looked good with the ball on his feet. The Belgian was calm and composed while collecting crosses as usual. He was not at fault for Huesca’s goal.
