Real Madrid: Three takeaways from the emphatic win over SD Huesca

Luka Modric’s form cannot be overstated
The Croatian midfielder has been incredible all season. He is an inspiration on the attack, he is calm under pressure, and he has even scored a couple of amazing goals already this season.
Even without his usual partner Toni Kroos, Modric bosses the midfield and is more than happy to quarterback the team when they have possession.
Modric was all over the pitch and had the most touches (107), completed 88 passes (93 percent success rate), had two key passes, and completed one dribble. Even when he isn’t shooting, it is abundantly clear from just watching him on and off the ball how important he is to Real Madrid.
Like a fine wine, Modric and Sergio Ramos alike are getting better and better even though they are on the “older” side.
