Real Madrid will need a win after coming out with just one point in their two opening games.
Real Madrid prepare to take on Inter Milan in a must-win match after they only came out with one point in their opening two matches of the UEFA Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Goalkeeper
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will start in goal just like he has been since the beginning of the campaign. Even though Los Merengues have been conceding regularly, a lot of it cannot be blamed on the Belgian as he has single-handedly kept us in matches with a chance of getting points so far this season.
Defenders
Things will be getting a little tricky here as Real Madrid already face a massive problem when it comes to their right-back. With the chosen man currently Lucas Vazquez dur to Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola being injured, it seems as though the Spaniard has also suffered an injury of his own.
Therefore, things may point towards Ferland Mendy being the chosen man at right-back even though it’s definitely not a position he is happy with. In the center, we will see the return of Raphael Varane after he was rested during the 4-1 win at the weekend. The French center-back will be beside Sergio Ramos on the night. At left-back, we may have to see whether Marcelo can complete 180 minutes on the pitch in less than a week.

Midfielders
It’s difficult to see how Zinedine Zidane can go into this match without his trusted Carlos Casemiro as the defensive midfielder while we could see Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde in front of him.
Luka Modric is expected to return to the bench and come on as a super-sub if required during the second half. Los Blancos will need to go into this game very strongly and this midfield trio is arguably their best at the moment.
Expect another start for Eden Hazard
Forwards
He didn’t have the greatest game against Huesca over the weekend but Marco Asensio will be expecting to play on the right flank against Inter Milan and will definitely want to impress.
On the left, Eden Hazard will be making his second start of the week and of the season while Karim Benzema will be our striker as he’ll be aiming to continue his goal-scoring form which saw him find the back of the net twice against Huesca.
