Milestones!

Two Real Madrid players reached huge milestones in the win on Tuesday night. The biggest is captain Sergio Ramos scoring his 100th goal for the club! In typical Ramos fashion, the center back latched onto the end of a Toni Kroos corner-kick to put Real two up.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in the summer of 2018, Ramos has 22 goals in domestic and international club competitions. He has been the penalty taker for Los Blancos since Ronaldo left, and he scored a career-high 11 goals in La Liga last season.

Since Ramos signed with Real Madrid in 2005, only four players – Cristiano Ronaldo (450), Karim Benzema (254), Gonzalo Higuain (121) and Gareth Bale (104) – have scored more goals than him.

Though it was a poor showing from Casemiro (more on the next slide) the Brazilian international made his 250th appearance for Real Madrid in this game. He sure has been a constant in this squad for years and will continue to be.
