8th-placed Real Madrid Femenino take on 9th-placed Eibar Femenino.

Real Madrid Femenino have made it two wins out of two, aiming to make it a hat-trick of victories against Eibar. The team is gelling well and their plans are falling in place. The attack is clicking and the midfielders are gradually getting into the groove.

Here’s the predicted lineup for the game against Eibar.

Goalkeeper – Misa Rodríguez

Real Madrid have hit a jackpot with the acquisition of Misa Rodríguez.  She has been a wall in front of goal. Her form will be crucial to the team finishing at one of the top spots at the end of the season.

Defence – Kenti Robles, Ivana Andrés, Babett Peter, Marta Corredera

I can see David Aznar returning to the back-four that he started the season with. Although Olga Carmona wasn’t half as bad at left-back, it is better for the team to have someone like Marta Corredera at the back solely based on her experience and versatility.

Apart from that, Kenti Robles and Ivana Andrés have been the revelations at the back for Las Blancas. Ivana has helped establish the sort of stability at the back that was missing last season.

Babett Peter continues to remain an important fixture in the lineup and her chemistry with fellow centre-back Ivana has paid dividends so far.

Midfield – Thaisa Moreno and Teresa Abelleira

We can finally see the ever-reliable Brazilian return to the starting lineup for the first time this season. She has fully recovered from her injury and it’s time to thrust her back into the starting XI.

Due to the unavailability of Maite Oroz and Malena Ortiz in midfield, Teresa Abelleira will continue to feature in the XI. She had her best performance in a Real Madrid shirt so far, and Aznar will hope she can continue in the same vein in the absence of Maite Oroz.

Attack – Kosovare Asllani, Sofia Jakobsson, Marta Cardona, Jessica Martínez

Due to the absence of natural midfielders in the squad, we might see Aznar rolling out a 4-2-3-1 formation that includes Kosovare Asllani as the focal point, Jessica Martínez up top, and the two wide players in the form of Marta Cardona and Sofia Jakobsson.

Asllani has been making a case for herself to be called one of Europe’s best, and giving her a free role in the formation ensures the team has an extra goal threat. The presence of Sofia and Marta Cardona helps the team get width. This attack can be a menace to the best of defences.
