Real Madrid player ratings as they travel to San Siro and win the match 0 – 2 against Inter Milan in the Champions League to claim their first victory against the home team in the legendary stadium.

Real Madrid claimed a 0-2 victory against Inter Milan at San Siro in a must-win match and kept their hopes of qualifying through the Champions League group stage. Los Blancos controlled the game throughout with goals from Eden Hazard and Rodrygo on either side of the half gave them the win. Inter Milan played with ten men for around 60 minutes after Arturo Vidal got sent off for descent.

Zinedine Zidane still was without the availability of Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema. The Frenchman decided to field the same eleven that started in the weekend against Villareal with Eden Hazard and Martin Odegaard in the lineup.

Zidane decided to stick with the same starting eleven he fielded on the weekend going into a must-win match against Inter Milan and his decision proved to be right. His team controlled the game throughout and did not look troubled at any moment.

Thibaut Courtois – 7/10

Courtois did not have much to do, but the Belgian was a commanding presence in his area when called on.

Dani Carvajal – 7/10

Carvajal had things covered at the back and shutout Inter’s left-sided players with ease. He also had two key passes.

It was a much-needed performance from Raphael Varane in the Champions League in the absence of Sergio Ramos. He shut down everything that came his way. Varane completed four clearances, won three tackles and two aerial duels, per whoscored.com.

Nacho Fernandez – 7.5/10

Nacho deputized for Sergio Ramos and what an impact he had in that backline for Real Madrid. He won five tackles, three clearances, and two interceptions in the match. He also won the penalty for Los Blancos’ opener.

Ferland Mendy – 7/10

Ferland Mendy rarely puts a wrong in the defensive end. However, his crossing and decision making in the final third is still lacking.

Luka Modric – 7.5/10

Real Madrid controlled the pace of the entire game, and it was due to the calm and neat performance of the midfielders. Modric was sharp in the middle of the pitch and

Like his midfield partner, Kroos was immense in securing the win for Real Madrid. He had the most touches in the game and completed 98 percent of his 129 passes.

Martin Odegaard – 7.5/10

Martin Odegaard had a promising performance against Inter Milan. The Norwegian positioned himself in the right pockets, and he was a constant vertical outlet playing some progressive passes.

Lucas Vazquez – 7.5/10

Lucas Vazquez was a relentless presence for Real Madrid and helped Carvajal keep things tidy on the right. He also provided the assist from Rodrygo’s goal.

Eden Hazard – 8/10

Eden Hazard had a brilliant game. He had numerous sleek touches and combined well with his teammates. He completed six dribbles in the match and also scored the penalty for Real Madrid opening goal.

Mariano Diaz – 5.5/10

Mariano had two shots on target but did not offer much more than that. He got replaced around the 57th minute.

Casemiro – 6.5/10

Casemiro did well, considering this was his first appearance after being sidelined with Covid -19 for the past three weeks. He replaced Odegaard in the 57th minute and help Los Blancos to keep their control in the match.

Rodrygo – 7/10

Rodrygo scored a fantastic goal with his first touch of the match. The Brazillian now had six goals from nine games in the Champions League.
