Real Madrid right back Dani Carvajal has suffered a new injury, putting Los Blancos in yet another difficult situation.

Los Blancos have suffered horrible injury luck in the 2020-2021 season, and they have a new injury to deal with before Saturday’s match against Deportivo Alaves. Right back Dani Carvajal had just returned from a knee injury after a surprisingly quick recovery, playing well against Villarreal and Inter Milan.

But now he is injured again and could be out for the next few games. We can’t make an exact prediction on how long he could be out, but it could be a matter of weeks.

Real Madrid will face Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday after Alaves. Then next weekend, they have a big game at Sevilla. The following week, Real have even more difficult matches against Borussia Monchengladbach to close the Champions League and their toughest La Liga title challengers in Atletico Madrid.

So yeah, it doesn’t get any easier for Zinedine Zidane’s men without Carvajal available. He is one of the top three right backs in the world and somebody the team cannot truly replace. Alvaro Odriozola’s injury only makes filling Carvajal’s place in the starting XI even more difficult for Zidane.

But there are three players who can step up for Los Blancos and ease the loss.
