Real Madrid are preparing a masterstroke signing for the summer of 2021 and 2022 as Los Blancos eye two of the most promising talents in world football.

Real Madrid were handed a shocking defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk as the Ukrainian side scored two goals at home to complete a double over Los Blancos. The loss against Shakhtar sent the world into a frenzy and many believe that Zinedine Zidane might just bow out from Real for the second time in his managerial career.

Given Los Blancos’s performances this season, with a heavy heart, one could say that this is no longer the team that every other European side would fear facing in the Champions League. Long gone are the days of glory and this is now a time of transition. The attacking threat seems to be lackluster as well as the club is heavily reliant on Karim Benzema to step up while the other forward’s continue to misfire.

Having said that, reports now state that Real Madrid are preparing a double masterstroke signing for the summer of 2021 and 2022. Los Blancos have considered the possibility of signing Kylian Mbappe next summer and plan on partnering the Frenchman with Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.

The plausible signing of both these phenomenal talents does sound like a fairytale given the harsh impact that COVID-19 has had on the club’s financial resources. However, Erling Haaland will be available for just 75 million euros in the summer of 2022 when his release clause is active. 75 million euros will certainly not be too huge a sum for Los Blancos.

However, the signing of Kylian Mbappe might be highly complicated given the fact that PSG will be looking for a figure close to 180-200 million euros. The Parisiens are aware that Mbappe does not want to renew terms and selling him next summer will be their best shot to cash in on the investment they had made to sign the player in 2017.

Could Real possibly land Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the summer transfer market of 2021 and 2022 subsequently? or would it be too huge a task for the Spanish giants to pull off?
