Bayern Munich star David Alaba has been offered to Real Madrid for the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Austrian defender David Alaba is linked with Real Madrid and he will become an important part of Zidane’s squad if somehow Los Blancos made this signing. Looking at the current situation of the club every player looks fit to play this squad. The injury list keeps growing and regular starters are out of form.

How vital can Alaba be for the Los Blancos?

Alaba is a versatile player he is good in defensive and offensive transitions. Being a versatile player he could find a proper place in this squad. Madrid lacks in acting with Alaba in the squad they could create some chances in the games. He can play in midfield too that would help Zidane in the squad rotation and resting the skippers.

Alaba’s natural position was Left-back in the initial days at Munich. Later he played as a center back and now he even plays in midfield for Bayern. This versatility can help Zidane who can rest players like Varane who is not in his best form, Casemiro, and Kroos. Alaba would a great option in attacking transition playing as left-back he could create great chances on the wing.

How difficult is it to get Alaba?

It’s not an easy task to get Alaba all though he is for free his salary is high and the club is not ready for that in this pandemic situation. David Alaba is asking for €20mn in wages which is way too high for him and it will make him the third highest-paid at Madrid if he joins the club. But if the club is seriously interested in him they can negotiate and Alaba favors Madrid more than any other club.

The other obstacle to get him is his high demand in the market. Many European clubs are after him after he opened the transfer talks. Chelsea looks in pole position to get him. Other clubs like Barca, Inter, City, and PSG are in the race to get him but most of them will back off because of his heavy demand in salary.

Alaba is vital for Madrid it would totally make sense if the club negotiates and get him ahead of any other European giant. His versatility will help the team in the games. He is 28 and can continue here for at least three to four years. Let’s see how the Alaba thing goes with the current situation of the club.
