Mbappe moving to Real Madrid is likely to create a historic transfer domino which may be remembered for decades to come by the footballing world.

Real Madrid have been planning on how they will approach the blockbuster signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the 2021 summer. By the looks of it, it seems like a matter of time before the France international is officially on the books of the Whites, considering the fact that his contract ends in 2022.

Despite being in the final year of his deal at the Parc des Princes next summer onward, Les Parisians are optimistic about cashing in 150 million euros on the generational superstar. Los Blancos have no problem paying the asking price and such a massive deal may blow the transfer market wide open with PSG likely to react, AS suggests.

After being the protagonist in the French side’s win over Manchester United, Neymar suggested that he still dreams of playing with Lionel Messi. While the Argentinian is to commit to a deal at the Camp Nou, his Brazilian counterpart is in talks of an extended stay in Paris- which means that both of them could reunite in the Ligue 1.

Given that they will cash-in on a mammoth sum after the sale of Mbappe besides their already lavish financial backing, the French champions will have no problem in luring Messi into their roster and could even outdo Manchester City with regard to the financial aspect. At the end of the day, it’s a domino that will surely benefit Real Madrid in way or another.

In the seemingly inevitable event that they bring in one of the world’s best players, Mbappe, to the Santiago Bernabeu, they would have managed to successfully replace Cristiano Ronaldo considering that both players are potent marksmen. With that said, Messi leaving Barca would give the Whites a totally clear route at the domestic pieces of silverware.

Over the last few years, Messi has been a one-man wrecking crew for the Blaugrana who have looked rather lost without the 6-time Ballon d’Or winner. The 33-year-old has been their difference-maker more often than not and his presence in the squad cannot be understated- more so given the fact that the Catalans actually play through him.

Few would argue that Atletico Madrid, a totally upgraded side, may challenge Real Madrid, but the matter of fact is that Los Rojiblancos have always had a thin squad and the situation is not going to be any different going forward either. With fixtures being more congested towards the latter parts of the season, Simeone’s side have and will drop points in that phase.

Considering that the 34-time La Liga champions have thirsted for domestic success in recent years, Messi’s departure coupled with Mbappe’s signing would be the best thing to happen. Zidane, who may well be the manager for the foreseeable future, has always insisted that the league is his priority due to the amount of consistency needed, and surely the Copa del Rey will be, after a barren run in the cup since 2014.
