Real Madrid need to sign more than one star attacking player next summer in order to get back on track.

Although Real Madrid’s defense has taken a step back this season, much of that is due to injury. When Ferland Mendy, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Dani Carvajal, and Thibaut Courtois are all healthy, there may not be a better defense in European football than Real’s.

So the main issue for Los Blancos remains the same issue that has reigned supreme since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Turin. This team lacks a true superstar goal-scorer, and Eden Hazard’s injuries prevent the team from being able to rely on him.

In addition to Hazard, Real signed Rodrygo Goes and Luka Jovic post-Ronaldo. Jovic’s long-term future with the club is in huge doubt. Rodrygo is still too young to be counted on as a top scorer, and he hasn’t been given enough chances to start on the left.

Real Madrid need a new striker and, most importantly, a new wide forward who can score at least 20 goals in a season. They need to replace the production left by not only Ronaldo by also by Gareth Bale, who hasn’t been effective in years.

Here are five notable names Los Blancos could target in the 2021 summer transfer window.
