Real Madrid are likely to be on high alert as one of their star targets could be on the market next year with his agent speaking out candidly.

Paul Pogba has been vocal about his dream of playing for Real Madrid despite being on the books of one of the world’s greatest players, Manchester United. The France international has been out-of-favour this season and scored his first Premier League goal against West Ham. It may not be for long that the World Cup winner is at Old Trafford now.

Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, has revealed that it is all over for Pogba and that he sees no scope of his client staying beyond June 2022- when his contract ends. The revelation was made by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and ESPN claims that the interview by the super-agent will be released on Tuesday by Italian outlet, Tutto Sport.

"“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United”"

Zinedine Zidane has been an admirer of Paul Pogba and has been wanting him at Real Madrid. The club has always refrained from landing him for several reasons. While his price tag is obviously hefty, other factors like his consistency and off-field lifestyle do little to justify what he can deliver- just like what has been the case with the Red Devils.

In addition to that, Los Blancos have some of the world’s best midfielders in their squad in Luka Modric and Toni Kroos besides young talent like Federico Valverde and Martin Odegaard. Needless to say, they are also in the race to sign Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes and have sent Takefusa Kubo out on loan with an object of readying him for action.

Given his situation in the Premier League, it is clear that Manchester United will look to sell their most expensive signing next summer. If they fail to do so, Pogba can leave the club for free one year later. Real Madrid, if Zidane is at the helm, will be keen on landing the Frenchman and there is likely going to be interest from Juventus as well.

However, Real Madrid must not even consider signing Pogba. With the young players they have, the 27-year-old may be a wrong example with regard to conduct and professionalism. Besides that, bringing in Pogba would also mean that they will be unable to pursue some other signings as his operation will include some very lofty costs.
