It has been reported that Zinedine Zidane of Real Madrid prefers to sign Paul Pogba over Eduardo Camavinga next summer. This could benefit Manchester United.

A recent turn of events has occurred over the past week as Zinedine Zidane of Real Madrid now wants Paul Pogba of Manchester United over Eduardo Camavinga. The latter had recently signed a deal with Jonathan Barnett and it has been reported that Camavinga made it clear to the agent that he wants a move out from Renees.

Real Madrid seemed to be the ideal location for the young French midfielder, however, reports now state that Zidane has his eye on Pogba. Zinedine Zidane has been a long-time admirer of the former Juventus midfielder and had wanted him at the club in the past. However, with Mino Raiola’s recent statements that Pogba’s time at United is over, Zidane considers this to be an ideal situation to cash in on the Manchester United midfielder.

It is quite a well-known fact that Real Madrid simply does not require Paul Pogba and the reasons are plenty. Financially it does not seem to be a viable move given the player’s high-profile reputation and wage demands. Technically, Real has better talents at their disposal such as Federico Valverde, Martin Odegaard, and Dani Ceballos who is on loan at Arsenal. Instead, the signing of Camavinga seems to be ideal since Real lacks a proper replacement for Casemiro.

Nonetheless, Zidane’s point of view is also understandable as the French manager would prefer having an experienced midfielder at his disposal rather than a young raw talent as the club is currently going through a difficult transition phase.

Having said that, reports from the Express now confirm that if Paul Pogba completes a move to the Santiago Bernabeu next summer, then Manchester United will turn their attention to Eduardo Camavinga as a replacement. This move would benefit the Red Devils, however, it would certainly also be a blow for Los Blancos given the potential that Camavinga has and that the club has been wanting the player for quite a long time.
