Real Madrid become aware of the price they must pay for next Galactico

Real Madrid are going to add to their squad in the upcoming few years and have learnt the price to be paid for one of their primary targets going forward.

Real Madrid won 2-0 against Borussia Monchengladbach, thanks to a Karim Benzema brace on Wednesday. However, it is difficult to think that the club’s goal-scoring woes may not persist in the longer run, especially with their talismanic forward ageing. With that in mind, Florentino Perez is keen on signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Haaland has become one of the most in-demand players in Europe and a reasonably lower asking price from his Bundesliga owners provides an affordable benchmark for every club interested in him. Besides Los Blancos, arch-rivals Barcelona and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are thought to be interested in landing the lethal scorer.

With Mino Raiola also commenting that his client would only leave for a more ambitious destination than Dortmund, Madrid can be considered the forerunner for his services. The Whites have one of the strongest young squads in the world and 20-year-old Haaland will be the missing piece in the striker’s role where Luka Jovic has failed since arriving in 2019/20.

El Desmarque has now reported that the 13-time European champions must pay 75 million euros to land their man. Borussia Dortmund have inserted a release clause in the Norwegian’s deal and any club that triggers it and offers a fruitful personal agreement will be able to hire Haaland in the summer of 2021.

Los Merengues will surely benefit from the signing of Haaland but they must prioritize on Kylian Mbappe for next summer. The Frenchman already has more experience under his belt than the former Salzburg frontman, whilst also being a more marketable signing- something that will hold key in financial recovery at the end of the pandemic.
