Real Madrid look to make it four wins on the bounce when they host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium.

Real Madrid take on Athletic Bilbao in the late game of Tuesday night and they will need to continue with their recent positive performances as Zinedine Zidane will most probably be looking to make a few rotations to his squad over the coming games.

Goalkeeper

One position that we don’t really have to worry much about when it comes to rotations is the goalkeeper as Thibaut Courtois will be expected to start once again. The Belgian has been able to be one of our best players over the past couple seasons and his presence is a massive asset to the team.

Defenders

It’s a little difficult to know what the manager has in mind for his defenders but I expect to see the same back four that we saw in the impressive win over Atletico Madrid. Dani Carvajal seemed fully fit and healthy while the partnership of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos brings some calm to any Real Madrid fan watching the game.

We will definitely be seeing Marcelo start again very soon but I doubt it will be against an Athletic Bilbao side who love to attack and therefore the defensive solidity of Ferland Mendy will be needed.

Midfielders

After receiving a yellow card against Atletico Madrid, Carlos Casemiro will be suspended for this match. It looks like Federico Valverde will be the man to start after he came on as a late substitute against Atletico. This will depend on his fitness of course but he could be the difference maker in this game.

In front of Valverde will be Toni Kroos who has been sensational recently and then comes what could be the surprise of the lineup as Isco may be given an opportunity to impress. Luka Modric needs some rest while Martin Odegaard may not be ready to play just yet. This could provide a golden opportunity for the Spaniard who has been begging for more chances.

Forwards

Up front, things could change slightly as well. On the left, we could see Rodrygo Goesstart instead of Vinicius Junior while Lucas Vazquez could be given much-needed rest for Marco Asensio who has not been able to live up to his potential so far during this campaign. Up front, Karim Benzema is expected to be the starter once again.
