Real Madrid have some incredible players in their squad and Zidane now wants security and clarity over the players he will have in the longer run.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was under tremendous pressure some time ago but wins against Sevilla, Borussia Monchengladbach and Atletico Madrid in a span of one week have saved the Frenchman from the sack. Three of the best players during this run of form were Lucas Vazquez, Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos.

All three players have short-run contracts at the club which expire in slightly more than six months. In fact, the trio can start negotiating with foreign clubs beginning from January but it is unlikely because all the players are keen on staying at the Santiago Bernabeu. Zizou has now personally requested the club to strike deals with each of them, ABC reports.

Sergio Ramos wants a two-year deal whereas Los Blancos were initially willing to offer just one. However, an agreement between the parties seems like a matter of time and it seems the captain’s renewal which holds the highest priority will be finalized by the end of this month amid interest from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, both.

Luka Modric also wants a stay at the club but there seem to be no talks ongoing between him and the Whites. The Croatian international has been in vintage form lately and with consistent performances at the age of 35, he deserves a renewal without doubt. Modric is also mentoring Federico Valverde and Martin Odegaard, which is a plus off-field.

Finally, Lucas Vazquez also has a strong case given his conduct and form, both. The Spaniard has never created a fuss and accepted any role given to him. Whenever called upon, Lucas has done an incredible job at the back and that is the reason Zidane wants to him stay. It is not often that a player is happy with a fringe role but performs terrifically when used.

Do you think the trio deserves an extension or should Madrid look for younger players?
