ERLING HAALAND- THE GOAL MACHINE

Haaland’s phenomenal rise in European football has seen the spotlight move from Kylian Mbappe towards the Norwegian forward. In fact, many now even believe that Haaland is a better player. Both Mbappe and Haaland have been on Real Madrid’s radar now and the club does have a plan in place that could potentially see both the generational talents in the royal white jersey.

Meanwhile, Real desperately requires a back-up for Karim Benzema. The Frenchman continues to fill in the lack of goals from the other forwards but the question is: How long can Karim Benzema continue doing this?

Benzema is now 33-years-old and probably has a season or two still left in him to continue playing for Los Blancos. Meanwhile, his back-up, Luka Jovic, has barely had the impact that many expected he would after his breakthrough with Frankfurt in the 2018/19 season.

Some reports even suggest that the club is done with the Serbian striker due to Haaland’s rapid progression. If that is the case, then it’s quite unfortunate for Jovic, however, in reality, Haaland is without a doubt a better striker from every aspect. However, signing Haaland next summer seems to be rather impossible. A move in 2022 seems like the best shot since the player’s release clause worth 75 million euros will be activated.
