Real Madrid have now won five games in a row, picking up back-to-back 3-1 wins after back-to-back 2-0 wins.

Like on Tuesday, Real Madrid started fast but then allowed their opponents to get back into the match with some sloppy moments in defense. But at the end of the match, they made a goal-saving stop before icing the match at the other end.

Eibar pressed hard and scored one of the best goals of the season, via Kike Garcia’s stunning curler for his fourth of the La Liga campaign. They did their very best at the Ipurua in front of the fans watching from their balconies at home. Yet Real Madrid held on and did enough to seal the game with Lucas Vazquez’s winner.

Although the match was tense in the second half, Real deserved the full three points. They were unstoppable at times in the first half, producing some of the best football we have seen in La Liga from any team this season. Their passing, team chemistry, and off-ball movement were exactly what Madridistas have been craving to see in 2020-2021.

The finishing still needs work, and Real Madrid can be their own worst enemy at times. But by and large, they are looking fierce.

Let’s draw three takeaways from this 3-1 victory at the Ipurua.
