Can we appreciate Karim Benzema some more?

You can never say enough kind words about Karim Benzema’s brilliance on the pitch. The Real Madrid No. 9 is in fine form again, which means great things for Los Blancos. After braces against Borussia Monchengladbach and Athletic Club, Benzema needed only a little over five minutes to find the back of the net against Eibar.

Yes, he probably should have scored twice, and he would have if his knee cap were not ruled offsides. Benzema’s game, as per usual, went beyond the goals, too. He assisted the other goals for Los Blancos, meaning the all-action forward was, once again, involved in all of Real Madrid’s goals.

Benzema finished the win with three key passes, three dribbles completed, and about 91 percent of his passes completed. Despite being a goal-scoring threat and doing everything he could to create chances for Los Merengues, Benzema was still precise with his passing.

There were so many highlights from Benz in this game, but the best of them was his assist for Luka Modric, which featured another bit of slick dribbling near the goal line. It’s become a trademark of his.

Name a No. 9 who can do what Benzema is doing right now. I’ll wait.
