Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the race to sign the best player from the Premier League next summer with an exit looming large.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both had their respective runs of poor form this season and the need for signings, especially goal-scorers for both sides has been highlighted. A host of players have been linked with a move to the Camp Nou or the Santiago Bernabeu, and Mohamed Salah is the latest addition to that list, according to El Desmarque.

In a recent interview, the Egypt international revealed that he is open to a switch in pastures during the future and has left the door to moving to Spain. Salah has won it all at the Anfield, besides the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, whilst also winning a host of individual accolades, which is why he could be open to leaving Liverpool sooner or later.

According to the claim made by the Spanish daily, both the clubs will be interested in signing the former Chelsea superstar and rightly so. If Salah wants to leave Liverpool, the club may not charge a hefty transfer fee simply out of respect for his desire and what he has given to them in the last few years.

Lionel Messi is likely to leave Barca next summer and the club will need a multidimensional attacking player. Salah would perfectly fit the bill and with the number of goals and assists he has provided; the ex-Roma marksman could be the best replacement for the Argentina international. That said, he may be an expensive proposition for the club.

Real Madrid on the other hand are in desperate need of a right winger and have never found one since Gareth Bale deteriorated in quality. Salah brings experience, quality and goals- everything that the Merengues need and is also a big-game player. However, if they are to sign Kylian Mbappe, signing Salah any time soon wouldn’t be affordable.
