Real Madrid has already shortlisted a Premier League superstar as a potential signing next season if Kylian Mbappe renews terms with Paris Saint-Germain.

After not making any signings in the summer of 2019/20, it was expected that Real Madrid would go all out in the following season. Kylian Mbappe tops the list of the potential players that Los Blancos want to sign next summer as the Frenchman could elevate Real’s attack to new levels alongside Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard.

However, Real now faces a serious challenge as Paris Saint-Germain are eager to renewing terms with their star forward. The 22-year-old is on a contract until 2022 and PSG plans on extending his stay at Parc des Princes. The objective remains to win the UEFA Champions League and Mbappe seems rather confident at PSG after reaching the final last year.

Having said that, Real Madrid have already lined-up another galactico replacement if the Mbappe operation fails., according to Todo Fichajes. The player in question is Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.

Although Salah is much older than Kylian Mbappe, the Egyptian is still a lethal goal-scorer and could potentially solve the issues on the right-wing. Los Blancos currently do not have a natural left-footed right-winger to cut inside and have a shot on goal. Marco Asensio is usually deployed on the right, however, the Spaniard prefers playing out on the left instead.

The plausible signing of Salah as a replacement for Mbappe seems like a smart move. The former AS Roma forward is 28-years-old and will soon be entering the prime years of his career. Salah would also cost Real a lot less than what Mbappe possibly could.

Salah’s pace and goal-scoring attributes would certainly benefit Real Madrid. The 28-year-old has already scored 127 goals for Liverpool in 173 appearances. Real lack a potent goal-scorer other than Karim Benzema and the signing of Salah could solve this issue.
