Who will start for Real Madrid vs. Granada on Matchday 15?

Real Madrid have got practically no time to rest as they continue pushing with two games a week and next up is a strong Granada side that find themselves in sixth place with one game played less than Los Merengues.

Zidane has admitted that his lack of rotations in recent matches is temporary but it will be interesting to see if he decides to rotate against Granada even though he played arguably his strongest eleven when the team took on Eibar over the weekend.

Goalkeeper

There was talk ahead of the Eibar match that Andriy Lunin would get his first start but this isn’t something any of us can see Zidane doing at the moment, especially with Thibaut Courtois in incredible form. A sudden change between the posts could be the difference between three points or none.

Defenders

After yet another great performance, it’s difficult to see Zidane drop Dani Carvajal to the bench just yet even though the Spaniard will definitely need to be rested more often very soon. In the center, the partnership of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos should continue with Ferland Mendy expected to be deployed as left-back once again after he has continued to prove himself against any and all opponents that have come his way so far.

Midfielders

Against a team like Granada, the presence of Carlos Casemiro will be vital while the Brazilian defensive midfielder will have Toni Kroos in front of him alongside Federico Valverde. With the recent injury to Luka Modric, Valverde will be expected to step up as he has done every single time in the past to cover for the Croatian who has been in fabulous form throughout the past few matches as all Madridistas enjoyed watching him roll back the years.

Forwards

Things could get a little tricky here but it doesn’t look like the manager will be too keen on changing a formula that has been working. Lucas Vazquez has shown that he has what it takes to compete and he has been our best player on the right so far this season and it’s expected to continue that way for a little while longer. On the left, Vinicius Junior was rested during the weekend game and should be back for the match against Granada.

Up front, can you really bench Karim Benzema at the moment? Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz may be hoping for a chance soon but at the moment, no striker will be able to sit Benzema down and the Frenchman will be hoping to get on the scoresheet once again against Granada on Wednesday night.
