Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is out for a few weeks. With Modric out, some players need to step up for the Los Blancos.

Luka Modric took an injury on the trip to Eibar this weekend. He has muscle overload in his left leg and is predicted to be out for at least two games. Modric has played all the league games this season. He has started or brought up as a substitute in all the League games. He is on the verge of signing a contract with the club.

Fede Valverde and Martin Ødegaard took a lot of injuries this season. With these young lads out the skipper, Modric took the role and played amazingly. Modric is aging like a fine wine. Playing at the age of 35 with so much enthusiasm is amazing. With him out now these young should step up and play.

1) Fede Valverde

Valverde who played all the games ahead of Modric last season will mostly play the next few games. Valverde has gained the trust of fans and Zidane. If Zidane wants to play in a 4-3-3 formation Valverde would definitely be a starter along with Kroos and Casemiro. Valverde is a powerhouse he will cover the whole pitch just like Modric. Valverde missed many games due to injury and will bounce back now again.

2) Martin Ødegaard

Martin Ødegaard who was brought back from La Real ending his loan spell hasn’t shown his top game this season yet. He was a regular starter in La Real. Now in Real Madrid, he has to rotate his position with others. Zidane can use him now with Modric out for few games. He can be used in a 4-4-2 formation with a free role he can provide amazing passes to the forward. He missed a few games in injuries and now he is ready to play. Zidane will use him in the next games. Let’s see if he can impress Zidane for being a regular starter

3) Isco

Isco who was Zidane’s favorite in his first spell as a coach is now facing problems for getting a start at his beloved club. Reports say that he is about to leave the club in the upcoming winter transfer. If this is happening the fans would love to see him play in this royal white colours. If he performs great both club and Isco could change their mind regarding his future. As of now he will get some minutes in coming games. Isco had great 30 minutes against Athletic club. Hope he plays in the same manner for whole 90 minute in next games.

With Modric out Zidane will try all the players that could fit in that position or try something else with formation. Valverde, Martin Ødegaard and Isco will surely get minutes in coming games. We will see something else on the pitch after a long time. As of Modric he needed a rest after playing so much. Hope he gets on the pitch with no time and play that quality football again.
