Real Madrid has already renewed terms with Luka Modric according to El Chiringuito. The Croatian is set to stay for another year at Los Blancos.

Eduardo Inda, a renowned journalist from El Chiringuito has confirmed that Real Madrid has already renewed a deal with Luka Modric until June 2022. The Croatian midfielder’s contract was set to expire next summer in 2021, however, his match-winning performances this season has seen him rightfully earn an extension at Los Blancos.

At 35, Luka Modric has defied all odds and has shown no signs of aging either. The veteran midfielder has been playing the strings in midfield for Real this entire season. Modric’s presence is so important in the midfield which is why the player has barely gotten rest this season and has played a huge streak of games consecutively for both club and country.

There were also rumours of Jose Mourinho contacting Modric to return to Tottenham Hotspur next season. However, all these rumours can now be set aside as Eduardo Inda has confirmed that Luka Modric will continue at Real until the summer of 2022.

The 35-year-old midfielder is currently out injured after he picked up a strain against Eibar. Modric was substituted late in the second half. Tests have revealed that the player has an overload on his abductor muscle which is simply because of the number of games the 35-year-old has played in at a stretch.

Luka Modric could possibly be ruled out for Real’s next two games as the side prepare to face Granada and Elche. Meanwhile, there have been no reports on the renewal of Sergio Ramos or Lucas Vazquez. Both the Spaniard’s have been performing at an exceptional level this season and are worthy of a contract extension.

It is a known fact that Real are facing a tough time financially which could be the reason why the club has not yet renewed terms with Ramos and Vazquez. However, with time, I strongly believe that Real Madrid will renew terms with both the players.
