Arsenal are reportedly looking for recruitments this winter to bolster their attack. The Daily Mail reports that the Gunners now want a Real Madrid winger.

Arsenal currently finds themselves 15th on the Premier League table under Mikel Arteta. Their attacking frontline has not been firing all cylinders this season as Willian, Pierre-Emerick Aubmayeang, and Alexander Lacazette have all been sub-par so far this season. Having said that, the Gunners are on the lookout for a creative midfielder and attacker this January. Daily Mail reports that the north London side has their eye on a Real Madrid winger this January.

Since his move from Flamengo in 2018 to Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior has impressed the lots and has rightly earned the title of being one of the most talented youngsters out there. However, the worrying situation with the Brazilian is his poor decision making and sheer lack of confidence when in front of goal. Despite being 20-years-old, his younger counter-part Rodrygo has shown more maturity on the ball and off the ball despite being a year younger.

Nonetheless, Vinicius is a rough diamond that needs game-time to shine and find his true potential. However, a loan move this January may not be the best option. With Rodrygo’s recent injury and Eden Hazard continuously popping in and out of the team due to injuries, it would be a safe bet to hold onto Vinicius Junior.

Meanwhile, for Arsenal, the Brazilian is certainly not the player to solve their crisis. The north London club requires a potent goal-scorer to pair up with Aubameyang and Vinicius Jr is certainly not a lethal goal-scorer.

Despite Arsenal’s interest, the best option would be to hold onto Vini Jr given the uncertainty of injuries that keep occurring at Real Madrid. However, a loan next season could be on the cards provided Los Blancos sign a forward which could be Kylian Mbappe.
