Real Madrid winger Rodrygo Goes could miss more than a month with an injury, so here are the players who must step up in his absence.

On La Liga’s Matchday 15, Rodrygo Goes was on the road to another strong performance for Real Madrid in the first half against Granada. But then, Rodrygo went down in the penalty box with an injury after trying to get past Granada wing back Dimitri Foulquier and immediately asked for a substitution. He could miss four to six weeks.

Before the injury, Rodrygo was tied with Karim Benzema as Real’s leader in assists with five, even. though he’s played just 684 minutes as compared to Benzema’s 1,542. Rodrygo is averaging 0.79 goals and assists per 90 minutes, per FBRef.com, as only Benzema is averaging more.

So even though Rodrygo isn’t a regular starter for Real Madrid, there will be highly efficient production that the club must replace from off the bench. In the recent matches before Eden Hazard’s return, Rodrygo has established himself as potentially the new backup left winger, and he’s also been solid on the right-hand side due to his accurate crossing.

Let’s take a look at three players who must rise to the occasion over the next month as Rodrygo recovers from this injury.
