Real Madrid left winger Vinicius Junior has world-class potential, and the year 2021 could be a tipping point for the 20-year-old.

Vinicius Junior has shown glimpses of brilliance for Real Madrid, such as his chipped goal against Mallorca this summer or his work in the rivalry wins over Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. But he’s also often frustrated Madridistas with his mistakes in front of goal or when passing in transition.

Any younger player needs the time to grow and the grace of making mistakes, which can sometimes be difficult to come by at Real Madrid. It’s not that the club doesn’t support young players or doesn’t try to help them along the way, but the expectations are so high that typical mistakes for a growing player can be costly to the point where Real cannot swallow that cost.

The good outweighs the bad with Vinicius, and that is why Zinedine Zidane stands by him. We saw how Vini responded against Athletic Club, bouncing back after Zidane kept the faith in the winger.

But what should be next for Vinicius in 2021? Let’s take a look at three achievable goals for the young winger as he finishes up his third season with Los Merengues and prepares for what would be his fourth season in the Fall of 2021.
